Tablo Stands True to Anti-Piracy |
Posted on 09. Mar, 2010 by Victoria in General
Just moments ago, Tablo of Epik High called out a highly known kpop blog for posting the leaked tracks and music video of Epik High‘s latest album: Epilogue.
His recent messages have said:
WTF is up with allkpop? In one day they’ve posted up a leak mv of Run, and now they have illegal streaming of all our songs?
F*** allkpop for being so senseless. I think I’ve been more than generous to allkpop with all the interviews & videos. Can’t believe this.
allkpop.com, if u think pirating someone’s music and distributing it is some sort of promotional assistance, u don’t deserve to ‘be.’
Taking the page down doesn’t make the selfish intention of the act go away. I’m usually an understanding person, but when a money-making site exploits something many people poured hearts into, I can’t just sit and nod it away. Allkpop, I don’t want an apology. I want you to grow a conscience.
I’m done being pissed off. Our music is out, fans love it, and now I got a show to do, so celebration! F-u to rats, L-u to real cats!
With today being the official release date of Epik High‘s latest album Epilogue, sales should be amazing. And they are! Leaving his followers with a much more uplifting message, Tablo also wrote, “Juss been informed that our epilogue debuted at #20 on the iTunes US HIP HOP CHART.” The epic Tablo himself even seemed so excited that he rewrote his post in Hangul so Korean fans could share in the success! Heck, even Mithra Jin retweeted his pal’s message!
Just after being let down and angry about this recent piracy situation, Tablo gets a pick-me-up by seeing the support from all of his fans!  It’s wonderful that despite available means to obtain Epik High‘s music illegally, there are always fans who buy the real thing. And it’s because of these fans that Epilogue made the top 20!
Even though this is just one specific situation, I’m certain all artists and their companies get completely frustrated when they find out that the music they’ve put incredible amounts of time, effort, and their hearts into just end of up on the internet, where people download them for free. Since they are music artists, the fact that people simply take their toiled efforts without paying their due respects must be horrible for them.
Although some people find piracy to be convenient, with each illegal transaction, every person involved in the process of making that item ends up a victim.
You can support Tablo and Epik High by purchasing Epilogue through iTunes!
And  don’t forget to support all of your favorite artists by paying for their music! By getting their goods legally, you not only directly support them financially, but you help them rank higher in music charts!

@asdfasdf: I can tell and know that AKP staff and hardcore fans are here. You’re one of them. You guys are too immature. What’s the use of bad-mouthing kpoplive when all they are doing is reporting news? Heck, i love them for even writing this up because it shows that they support all artists, and not bias unlike you guys. The fact that you guys are too defensive shows how scared you guys are for admitting you are wrong.

WTH. This article didnt mention nor degraded AKP. They just said that a ‘site’ the Tablo is pissed. It was Tablo’s tweets that mentioned AKP. I think this is a professional article. Unlike AKP who loves leaking songs and reporting their bias. They got what they deserved. And im surprised they NEVER apologize to Tablo about this.

kpoplive is a f*cking kpop news blog so quit your bitching.
if any one of the other celebs went off on an interesting rant, it’d be covered by akp and kpl. just so happens that because akp is the bad guy, they didn’t cover it. now who’s cute and covering their dainty little b*tchass?
god, for some f*cking akp buttmuch to call someone ELSE out for being full of sh*t? mofoing ridiculous.

LOL kpoplive, you’re so cute, acting all high and mighty… keep dreaming. if you actually sat down and thought about tablo’s message before jumping the gun, you’d be embarrassed yourself – this message is directed at ALL people who promote piracy.
and oh look, who’s affiliating with URNOBODY, a YOUTUBE WHO DISTRIBUTES MUSIC ILLEGALLY? none other than kpoplive… how convenient that you guys took them off your partners list.
if you had a brain you’d have enough grace to ignore these tweets. you’re just too small to even be noticed by tablo.
@ kpooplive & kpoplive my nuts, LOL PREACH

@wenn: whoaaah there! Epik High didn’t need akp’s support to get themselves popular. Sheesh, so What? Epik High owes AKP so its okay for AKP to leaked their songs? HELL NO.
@san : agreed. the article didn’t mention AKP’s name. Hardcore fans of akp just tries too hard. this is not the first time that AKP made a mistake, and yet they are so proud of their credibility, my ass. they are full of biased and bashing.

OK, to the ignorant douchebags who support allkpop:
yeah, it’s true, the site is the most popular kpop source out there – which makes it THAT much more worse for them.
with all their talk about supporting artists, it’s a shame for them to release LEAKED tracks on their site. i know we all DL our songs, but as someone said, people usually release the audio tracks AFTER the album’s been released.
allkpop, hope you learn your lesson. talk about maintaining professionalism.

the authors there are just clearly biased
and you know, not many people likes akp

they’re infamous for having biased authors,
rabid antis who comments on articles and
fighting with other fans in the comment sections…
Kpoplive, I believe you can learn something from
akp’s mistakes.

@kpooplive.. I have been reading here alot.. and everytime allkpop makes a bias error or messes up on thier post.. you always make some useless comment on kpoplive..
Judging from the way you talk,”posted audio files ” and grammar, it seems like you are the owner of allkpop o.0 he too posted something about that.

We’re all guilty of downloading music, but that’s just the sacrifice that comes with the internet.
All the kpop sites that I’ve read have posted audio files at one point or another too–that includes YOU.
So, kpoplive, stop being hypocrites by thinking you’re better than allkpop.
Because you’re not.
